Building together our integrated Baika culture in all the countries where we are present

“We have an excellent professional team, we work as a team and are always concerned about the development, well-being and safety of people,” says Carla Cossio, People Manager, who shares the key pillars on which we are working to continue strengthening our team and make this a more solid, close and sustainable organization, hand in hand with our purpose “Regenerating roots to nourish the world with healthy and sustainable fruits” and our values: Sustainability, Safety, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork and Passion.

“We are committed to the company’s business strategy, and to achieve this, it is very important to attract and retain the right talent, keeping people motivated, providing them with development opportunities, and establishing an environment that allows them to do their work with passion,” he says.

We pride ourselves on having a very positive work environment, where the close relationships and high level of professionalism of our teams make all the difference. “What isn't measured can't be improved or managed,” Carla points out, and that's why we've been measuring employee engagement for five years. This has allowed us to implement improvements and ensure that our people are more motivated and committed. “We know that when our employees are happy and motivated, their productivity and commitment increase, directly impacting the achievement of the company's objectives,” she adds.

“We are a young, dynamic, and flexible company where everyone has the autonomy to give their opinion and propose improvements. We are characterized by passion, energy, and teamwork, always with the purpose of positively impacting our employees, communities, and stakeholders. We promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, respect, opportunities, dialogue, honesty, and transparency,” says Carla Cossio emphatically.

Advancing our safety agenda is fundamental. Regarding this, he states, “It is a moral obligation for us. We have a responsibility to return people to their families in the same condition they left their homes.” To this end, we are working on ongoing training, fostering a safety culture that involves all levels of the organization. “Our challenge is to ensure that Baika Fruit, along with all its subsidiaries, has a strong safety culture and best practices,” he emphasizes.

In terms of People, our next challenges are focused on the integration and strengthening of the organizational culture: Promoting the global Baika Fruit culture and identity; Having good leaders who support us in managing and developing their teams; Continuing to be a company with a good work environment; Having a solid internal communications strategy; and Advancing sustainability plans and goals for a profitable and responsible business.

Let's continue working together to make this company a better place for everyone. Let's achieve even more!
