Peru increases its exports with Europe as the main destination

At the close of week 35, Peru recorded the export of 1,080 containers of avocados. Of the total, 73% went to Europe, while the remainder was distributed among the United States (12%), Chile (8%), and Asia (6%).

The export volume represented a 4% increase compared to the previous week and showed an even more significant difference when compared to 2024, standing 79% higher than the amount achieved in that same period. This equates to more than 400 additional containers compared to last year.

Europe once again surpassed the 700 weekly shipment mark, after several weeks in which the figures remained around 600. The rebound reinforces Europe's position as the main destination for Peruvian fruit.

In contrast, other destinations showed a week-over-week decline. The United States, Chile, and Asia reduced their avocado imports, with Europe being the only market to report sustained growth in recent days.
