Colombian exports fall 36% in week 7, but Europe and the US maintain a balanced share

At the close of week 7, Colombian avocado exports totaled 127 shipments, a 36% decrease compared to the previous week, when nearly 200 containers were shipped. This decline is consistent with the natural seasonal cycles, suggesting that export volumes will not reach the levels seen in previous weeks.

Of these 127 shipments, 52% were destined for the European market, while the remaining 48% were sent to the United States—a more balanced split compared to shipments in previous weeks, when one market predominated. The trend indicates that export dynamics will continue similarly next week, with both destinations receiving roughly equal quantities.

Thus, week 7 ended with a stable dynamic in terms of market participation, but with an export volume clearly affected by the season and the lack of contributions from other producing countries.
