Chilean exports decline and prioritize Europe

Analysis of Chile's exports this week shows that, at the close of week 42, a total of 294 containers are sailing, which is equivalent to 6% less than the previous week.

But this is not an exceptional situation, as we already saw that the previous week there was a fairly large decrease, between the peak of shipments in week 40 and the normalization of the numbers experienced in week 41.

Although a rebound was expected, it did not materialize and it appears the situation will continue to decline, in a country that also has very significant domestic demand.

Chile's main markets continue to be Europe, which received 73% of these containers; followed by Latin America in general, with 16%. Asia lags behind, with 7%, and the United States, with no more than 4% of the fruit shipped.
