Peruvian avocado exports fall slightly, but exceed the 2024 volume by 50%.

Peru closed week 21 with a total of approximately 1,274 avocado shipments exported, representing a moderate decrease of 4% compared to the previous week. Despite this slight decline, the export volume remains well above the level reached during the same period last year, with growth of nearly 50%, confirming the strength of the current season.

Regarding destinations, Europe accounted for 61% of shipments, remaining the main market for Peruvian avocados. However, this is the first week in which a slight reduction in Peru's market share in Europe has been observed, after several consecutive weeks of expansion since the start of the season. Although the decrease is not significant, it marks a change in the sustained upward trend that had been observed.

The United States received 19% of the exported volume, while Chile accounted for 8%, Asia for 7%, and the remaining 3-4% was distributed among other secondary destinations. This diversification reaffirms Peru's strategy of maintaining an active presence in several key markets, although with a clear concentration in Europe.
