United States: little room for non-Mexican origins

The Avobook W 42 Report shows data from the United States at the close of Week 41, where 1,657 shipments were recorded, including trucks and containers. This is a significant increase compared to the previous week (34%), with Mexico accounting for the bulk of the supply. During Week 40, Mexico exported 45 million pounds, and in Week 41, that figure reached 63 million pounds.

The weekly market share snapshot shows Mexico with 95%, with Chile (2%) and California (2%) sharing the small remainder. All other suppliers combined account for no more than 1%.

The Mexican surge comes as California fruit continues to decline, falling by 8% this week. Mexico's increase is nearly 38%.

Prices behaved differently depending on the size: larger sizes increased in value, while smaller sizes decreased. Size 48 (large) rose 16% compared to the previous week, and size 84 (small) fell 8%.
