The Chinese avocado market remains stable in volume, but with a marked drop in prices.

The Chinese avocado market remains at low volumes, with only 14 containers registered, a figure very similar to the previous week. Of this total, 71% comes from Chile, while the remainder comes from Peru, although in minimal quantities.

In terms of price, Chilean avocados continue to be more expensive than Peruvian ones, although it remains uncertain whether this trend will continue over the next five weeks. In sizes 18 to 24, Chilean avocados experienced an 11% drop in value compared to the previous week.

Compared to the previous year, there has been a notable decrease in Peruvian avocado prices. During the same week in 2025, the price was $3.40 per kilo, while in 2024 it reached $4.70 per kilo, representing a 28% drop.

The Chinese market continues to experience limited demand, which has impacted prices and export flows. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether the price and volume trends will continue or if there will be changes in trade dynamics.
