Connecting the avocado sector: ProHass highlights progress and challenges at its annual information event

Last Monday, November 18, ProHass, the Association of Hass Avocado Producers and Exporters of Peru, held its Members' Information Breakfast at the ESAN University auditorium in Monterrico. This event brought together key representatives from the Hass avocado sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the global market, as well as the association's progress in supporting its members.

During the event, topics of great relevance to the industry were addressed, such as the presentation of the global Hass avocado trade overview by Sebastián de la Cuadra, CEO of Avobook. His presentation provided a comprehensive view of international trends and a description of exports from different origins.

The event also included:

- A detailed report of ProHass's recent activities highlighting efforts to boost the sector's competitiveness and sustainability.

- The presentation of the study on the image, satisfaction and expectations of ProHass developed by the company Datum, with key results to guide the future strategy of the association.

- Opening remarks by the president of ProHass, Juan Carlos Paredes, who highlighted the sector's achievements and the challenges foreseen for 2024, including the estimate of a lower global supply that could have a positive impact on prices.

The breakfast was not only an opportunity to share knowledge and perspectives, but also a networking space that strengthened ties between stakeholders in the production chain. These types of initiatives reinforce ProHass's commitment to its members and to the sustainable development of the Hass avocado industry in Peru.
