Chile leads shipments while volumes are expected from Peru

In week 1, the Chinese market maintained a similar dynamic to that observed in previous weeks. During this period, 21 shipments arrived from Chile, representing a 32% decrease compared to the previous week. Volume was also 46% below the level at the beginning of 2025.

Shipments from Chile accounted for all of these volumes and are expected to remain the primary source during the first weeks of the year. The focus will be on the eventual arrival of the first shipments from Peru, as well as the potential inclusion of other origins with a more significant share of this market.

During the beginning of 2025, Peru maintained low-volume shipments to China and subsequently increased its presence towards March, when it managed to establish a stronger position. For the first weeks of January, the scenario projects that Chile will continue to contribute the majority of the volume entering this market.
