Chile's shipments to Europe have fallen again, while Kenya and Peru have increased their volumes.
During week 10, Europe received a total of 694 containers of avocados, reflecting a 5% increase compared to the previous week. Despite this increase, the volume has remained stable over the last five weeks. Compared to the same period last year, the current level is 7% higher.
Israel continues to lead the supply with a 34% share, followed by Spain with 18%. Morocco and Peru each account for 11%, while Colombia, Kenya, and Tanzania each represent 10%. Chile, with only 4%, shows a significant drop compared to previous weeks.
One of the most significant changes was the reduction in shipments from Chile, which dropped from 50 to 25 containers in a single week. Israel maintained its export levels, while Kenya and Peru saw an increase in their volumes. The first shipments from Brazil were also reported, although still in minimal quantities.
Regarding prices, the market shows mixed trends. In the Netherlands, size 18 saw a 7% decrease, while size 30, one of the smallest, fell by 8%. In contrast, in Spain, size 18 experienced an 11% increase, reflecting variations based on demand and fruit availability in each market.
