Avocado arrivals to China fall 39% compared to 2024

The Chinese market closed week 38 with the arrival of 27 containers. The vast majority of this volume, equivalent to 96%, originated in Peru, while Chile contributed a single shipment.

Arrival levels represent a 4% increase compared to the previous week, although they remain well below the levels observed during the same period in 2024, with a 39% drop. One explanation could be the lower presence of Chilean fruit compared to last year, when its market share was already more noticeable at this time.

Regarding prices, the trend was upward, although more moderately than in previous weeks. The average reached $4.20 per kilo for boxes of sizes 18 to 24, consolidating a slight improvement in the product's value at its destination.
