Colombian avocados on the rise

A contrasting case to that of Chile is that of Colombia, although with much lower volumes. This origin closed week 41 with the shipment of 158 containers, which is 2.5% less than the previous week.

However, this slight drop will not be the trend for what's to come, as higher numbers are projected than those seen so far this season.

Where there is clarity is in the priority destination of their fruit, as their shipments are distributed 91% to Europe and 9% to the United States.

Although Colombian figures are already good compared to its history in the global market, reports indicate that, from now until the end of the year, there will be a much larger volume from this origin, reaching around 200 shipments in some weeks.
