Peruvian avocado grows 17% and gains ground in all key markets

Peru continues to solidify its position as one of the world's leading avocado exporters, and data from week 22 reinforces this trend. The Andean nation shipped a total of 1,502 containers, representing a 17% increase compared to the previous week. This volume even surpasses previous expectations, which indicated that the peak of the season had already been reached in earlier weeks.

The most noteworthy aspect of this week is not only the overall increase in volume, but also the simultaneous growth across all major destinations. Europe accounted for 56% of shipments, followed by the United States with 18%, Asia with 13%, Chile with 8%, and the remaining 5% distributed among other markets such as Canada. Each of these destinations showed an increase compared to the previous week, suggesting sustained and expanding international demand.

This behavior raises questions about the evolution of the export pace in the coming weeks: whether this will indeed be the week with the highest volume of the season, or whether the growth curve has not yet reached its peak.
