Week 45 and Avocado Territory 2026
Colombia
November 4, 2026
Week 45, with good morning and very excited to attend this week the Territorio Aguacate fair in its 2026 version.
The conversation continues regarding the coming year, along with the performance of this main season. On the export and packing side, we could say they are operating at half capacity. On the production side, we could say they are waiting for the price increase that typically occurs towards the end of the year and the beginning of January to begin harvesting again.
Packing plants show an increase in large sizes and a decrease in small sizes, which could be attributed to the fact that these sizes are not being exported.
The dollar has remained stable and the euro has gained 2%, but the key figure for this week is that the average weighted kilo at the farm gate is $2,600. Larger sizes are around $4,800 per kilo, medium sizes $2,900, and smaller sizes $1,100. From one week to the next, bids have fallen 2%, but if we look at the last three weeks, the accumulated drop reaches 22%.
Regarding export volumes, we're still averaging around 100 containers per week, with 90% going to Europe. Let's see what the final export results for Colombia will be at the end of 2026.
So far this year, the trend hasn't changed: 90% to Europe and 10% to the United States. This figure contrasts sharply with last year, when an average of 150 containers were shipped per week at this same time.
This week we'll be closely following the discussions and what Territorio Aguacate has to offer. It's always interesting to hear from the different players in the supply chain, share perspectives, and understand where our beloved Colombian avocado is headed.
See you next week and we'll be in touch.
