Peruvian exports
Peru sends 1,271 shipments of avocados, and Europe accounts for 70%
Week 18 ended with 1,271 shipments from Peru. Europe remains the main destination and accounts for the majority of the campaign.
Week 18 of the Peruvian avocado season saw a total of 1,271 shipments, reflecting a slight increase of 2% compared to the previous week. Furthermore, this volume is 10% higher than that shipped during the same week last year, maintaining a season of increased export activity.

Europe remains the primary destination for Peruvian fruit, accounting for nearly two-thirds of weekly shipments. Asia follows far behind with an 18% share, then Chile with 11%, while the United States represents just 1% of total exports. The remaining destinations also account for approximately 1%.
For the season to date, Europe has further solidified its leading role, accounting for 70% of all exports from Peru. Asia maintains a share of approximately 17%, Chile reaches 9%, and the remaining markets make up the other 3%. In contrast, shipments to the United States remain marginal, representing less than 1% of total exports.
Peru's presence in Europe continues to strengthen within the target market. In week 19, Peru reached a 59% share of the European market, consolidating its position as the leading supplier.
This leadership is also reflected in other markets. In Chile, Peru remains virtually the only significant supplier, while in Asia it continues to be the main supplier. Even in Japan, it is beginning to approach that position, aided by reduced fruit availability from Mexico.
In China and South Korea, the Peruvian presence also dominates the market, positioning itself practically as the only supplier during these weeks of the campaign.
