Peruvian exports
Peru sends 1,126 shipments and allocates 72% of its fruit to Europe
Week 19 showed a slight decrease in Peruvian shipments, although Europe consolidated its leadership as the main destination and Peru reinforced its dominance in that market.
Peru registered a total of 1,126 avocado shipments in week 19, a figure that represents a decrease of 12% compared to the previous week and a decrease of 5% compared to the same period in 2025.

Although this decline has not been seen in the same proportion so far this season, the volume remains high and relatively close to the levels recorded last year, reflecting a still solid campaign for the world's leading exporter.
Europe once again accounted for the majority of Peruvian exports, absorbing 72% of the total shipped during the week. Chile was the second largest destination with 12%, followed by Asia with 9%, while the United States received 3%. The remaining markets also represented 3%.
The strong orientation towards Europe was also reflected in Peru's presence within that market, where it reached its highest participation rate of the season with 68%, widely consolidating its leadership over other origins.
The gap with the second-place provider was significant. South Africa, which held that position during the week, registered just 11% market share, well below Peru's dominance.
The European market is also approaching the period of greatest supply pressure from last season. In 2015, week 22 marked the peak volume, with nearly 1,600 weekly shipments. This year, the peak was recorded in week 17, although current trends continue to show a high pace and a strong Peruvian presence as the season consolidates.
