Baika Processing Plant begins packaging in Cherangeran, with a focus on the United States and global markets

With the new packing plant, Procesadora Baika guarantees the continuous export of Hass avocados, strengthening its position in the global market and ensuring the best quality throughout the year.

On Monday, September 2nd, Procesadora Baika took a significant step in its expansion by formally commencing packing operations at its facility in Cherangeran. This new center, designed primarily to handle shipments destined for the United States, will allow the company to supply avocados year-round to its various global distribution platforms. With this operation, the company reinforces its commitment to quality and efficiency in exports, while also pursuing three key strategic benefits.

The first benefit is more rigorous product quality control and compliance with customer-required protocols. Second, the new operation provides greater flexibility to adapt to the specific formats demanded by different target markets, which will drive the company's growth. Finally, consolidating this critical stage in the supply chain will allow Procesadora Baika to capture significant value, given the weekly volume the company handles.

In terms of its capacity, the Baika Processing Plant has an 8-line processing machine, offering an estimated capacity of 13 tons per hour, generating 3 to 4 loads per day in a single shift. To meet the needs of its clients, who represent between 30% and 40% of the total volume of its programs, the plant has 4 double netting machines.

In the cold storage area, Procesadora Baika has equipped its plant with three pre-cooling chambers that can store up to three full loads, and a cold storage chamber with a capacity for 240 pallets. These technological and logistical advancements solidify Procesadora Baika's position as a key player in the international avocado industry.

With over seven years of experience in exporting, the company has established itself as a leader in the sector. This reaffirms its mission to generate value for its shareholders and employees by bringing the highest quality Mexican avocados to key global markets.
