Baika in Colombia: 6 years in the avocado industry

Since 2018, Baika has emerged as a leading player in the Colombian agricultural landscape, experiencing significant growth in both production and exports. This growth has solidified its position as a relevant, multi-origin player in international markets. With a staff of 180 across Colombia and six years of experience in the coffee-growing nation, Baika already has 621 hectares planted and exported 6,000 tons in 2023.

Highlighting its presence in the markets of Europe, the United States and Argentina, Baika has positioned itself as a leader in the Colombian industry, establishing itself as the second largest foreign exporter in Colombia and the company with the highest percentage growth between 2022 and 2023 with almost 60% growth in exported volumes.

During these 6 years, Baika has demonstrated a rapid rise that has led it to reach the first 1,000 containers exported from Colombia to the world during the 2024 cross-country season.

This rapid growth not only reflects the quality of Baika's products, but also its ability to adapt and compete in an increasingly demanding global market. Its success not only benefits the company, but also contributes to the economic development of the regions where it operates and the country as a whole, strengthening its position as an avocado exporter and a trusted partner for its producers.
