Peru reached 67,767 hectares of Hass avocados in 2023

The growth of Hass avocado planted area in Peru is no longer keeping pace with previous years. It has stagnated and is expected to remain stable at approximately 70,000 hectares in the coming years.

Around 33% are fields of 51 hectares or more.

135 producers have 51 hectares or more.

There is a very high number of small producers who have 1 hectare or less, mainly in the Sierra sectors.

This chart shows the number of hectares and the number of producers per region. We can also visualize the production window for each region.

In the following table, we can see the new hectares, many of which are not yet in production, or are just beginning to produce.
