“Never before have so many people in the mountains of Badiraguato received so much support.”
In the Triangle of Kindness, formerly known as the Golden Triangle, located at the intersection of Sinaloa, Chihuahua, and Durango, more than 280 families have received support using the budget allocated last year. State Representative Verónica Avilés Rochín, president of the Tourism Committee of the State Congress, has spearheaded this project, which benefits the population of this mountainous region, characterized by its disadvantaged circumstances.
The support has come in the form of providing resources to establish egg-laying hen farms. This is a crucial step for the families, as it will provide them with eggs both for their own consumption and potentially for sale, thus improving their economic situation.
Avilés Rochín emphasized the importance of these initiatives, noting that this level of support had never before been provided to the most vulnerable population in this area. He also highlighted the importance of providing livelihood resources in a region where employment opportunities are limited.
The legislator emphasized the need to boost avocado production, given that Sinaloa is one of the largest consumers of this fruit. The goal is to support families in cultivating and selling avocados in the region, as this can generate significant income for their households.
This year, Congress has allocated an additional 5 million pesos to the Triangle of Kindness, with the intention of strengthening avocado production and stimulating the economy of hundreds of families in the mountainous region of Badiraguato.
