Montana Fruits partners with Mexico to produce Hass avocado oil

Colombian fresh produce exporter Montana Fruits has signed a strategic alliance with OLEOLAB Mexico to produce and export Hass avocado oil, an initiative that promises to open new opportunities for Colombia. Natalia Moranth, co-owner of Montana Fruits, highlighted the importance of diversifying their portfolio with a product that has a high impact on human health, leveraging their extensive experience in avocado exports.

Moranth explained that partnering with OLEOLAB Mexico, a company with over 20 years of experience producing high-quality Hass avocados, was a natural step. "The desire to offer a plant-based culinary option, cholesterol-free and rich in Omega 3, 6, and 9, motivated us to create OLEOLAB Colombia," he noted. This new product not only aims to meet growing demand in various markets but also to support Colombian producers by increasing the profitability of their harvests and using sustainable oil extraction methods.

Montana Fruits, with a focus on Europe as its key market and an expanding presence in the United States, continues to innovate its product offerings. In addition to avocados, the company exports passion fruit and Tahiti limes year-round, employing a robust mixed-container shipping strategy to optimize its logistics. Moranth concluded that while current avocado demand is stable, a price increase is expected starting in September, which bodes well for the company's future operations.
