Medellín, November 2025. With sustained growth in Colombian Hass avocado exports (which in the last year exceeded 147,013 tons, with an increase of 46.6% compared to 2024), the industry is consolidating itself as one of the most dynamic in national agriculture and celebrated its most important meeting in Medellín.

The seventh edition of Territorio Aguacate 2025, organized by Corpohass in partnership with Agrilink, brought together more than 3,900 attendees, solidifying its position as the leading networking event for producers, exporters, researchers, investors, and representatives from the public and private sectors. This year's event featured over 160 exhibiting companies, expert advisory sessions on seven topics related to the Hass avocado production chain (attended by more than 590 visitors), and the Avotour, a three-day tour with over 130 participants offering firsthand experience of avocado cultivation processes and best practices in different regions of the country.

According to Katheryn Mejía, executive president of Corpohass, “These events are essential to strengthening the avocado production chain, promoting knowledge exchange, and continuing to position Colombia as a global leader in sustainability and quality. Each edition demonstrates that collaborative work between producers, researchers, and strategic partners is the driving force behind the sector's growth.”

The event was attended by delegations from 24 countries, including Mexico, Chile, Peru, the United States, Spain, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Bolivia and Nicaragua, which confirms the international interest in the potential of Colombian avocados and their positioning in global markets.

During the two-day academic program, more than 100 talks were held, addressing the main challenges and trends in the production chain, from sustainability and traceability to genetic innovation and the opening of new markets. The program featured the participation of national and international experts such as Kevin Whitaker, former U.S. Ambassador to Colombia; Rodrigo Suárez, Climate and Sustainability Leader at Marsh; Jorge Rausch, Colombian chef; and Laura Davis, Head of Membership at the World Avocado Organization (WAO), who addressed topics related to foreign trade, sustainability, quality, and trade relations from the source.

The technical congress brought together more than 800 attendees, while the Avotalks event gathered over 2,000 participants in a dynamic format that brought knowledge closer to producers and businesspeople in the sector. More than 10 international buyers participated in the business matchmaking sessions, generating commercial opportunities and strategic alliances to continue expanding the presence of Colombian Hass avocados worldwide.

With these results, Territorio Aguacate 2025 reaffirms Medellín's leadership as the Latin American capital of agricultural innovation and the epicenter of an industry that continues to grow, professionalize, and project the country as a global benchmark in quality, sustainability, and competitiveness.
