Europe reduces its weekly arrivals by 5% and adjusts prices by size

The European avocado market recorded a total of 623 arrivals in week 46, representing a 5% drop compared to the previous week and 1% above the volume observed in the same period last year.

The distribution by origin shows Chile with a 50% share, followed by Colombia with 22%. Israel contributed 11% and Morocco 8%, while Peru and South Africa each reached 2%. Spain and other suppliers remain below 1%. Among the weekly variations, the increase in shipments from Morocco and the reduction of over 60% in shipments from South Africa stand out.

Regarding prices, Rotterdam showed some isolated variations. Size 14 increased by 26%, and size 18 saw a 4% increase. The remaining sizes maintained similar levels to the previous week. Movements were also observed in Spain, specifically in sizes 12 and 14, which showed average increases of 5%.
