Europe leads Chilean avocado exports at the end of the season

Week 52 marked a significant decline in avocado exports from Chile, with a total of 133 containers shipped, 27% less than the 181 dispatched the previous week. This drop reflects typical year-end trends. However, looking at the annual outlook, the figures are encouraging: exports nearly doubled the figures for the same week in 2023, representing a 93% increase.

Europe remains the primary destination, absorbing 51% of shipments. Latin America follows closely behind, accounting for 29%, while Asia received 16% and the United States 5%. This distribution highlights the strength of the European market as the main driver of Chilean exports.

Throughout the season, Europe dominated with 66% of total exports, followed by Latin America with 18%. Asia and the United States, meanwhile, maintained a steady share of 10% and 5%, respectively, figures similar to those recorded in previous seasons.
