China receives 52% more avocado shipments from Peru and Chile

Peru and Chile were the two main sources of supply to the Chinese market during week 38, with 44 shipments, representing a 52% increase compared to the previous week. Two-thirds of these shipments were Peruvian fruit, while the remainder were Chilean avocados. This is a significant volume compared to the previous four weeks, when shipments had not exceeded 40 containers.

Prices still don't show any clear trend when comparing variations between sizes, making it a good business for all fruit sizes. This is especially true considering that prices remain strong, even showing an increase compared to the previous week.

In fact, gauges 18 to 24 saw a significant rebound this week, reaching better levels than those seen during the last two or three years.
