China begins to open its doors to Chile

In China, it's already becoming clear that avocados from Peru are arriving, not just from Peru. Now they're mixed in with fruit from Chile, which accounts for a quarter of the market. Peru keeps the rest.

Together, they total 32 shipments, and this is not expected to change much in the coming weeks. Chile will move into a better position, given Peru's decline. There are also changes in the large gap that existed in the year-on-year comparison, since for the same week in 2024 and 2023, although a deficit is still observed, it only reaches 30%.

Prices are not regular, as they vary without a clear pattern between sizes.

Remember that the details of each figure and the weekly evolution of the movements of the world avocado market in all markets and origins can be found in the Avobook Premium Report of Week 36.
