APEAM renews its Board of Directors with a focus on sustainability and sectoral dialogue

The Association of Avocado Producers and Exporters of Mexico (APEAM) began a new period of institutional leadership with the swearing-in of its 2025–2027 Board of Directors, in a ceremony that reaffirmed the union's commitment to unity, transparency and competitiveness in the sector.

The ceremony brought together producers, packers, local and federal authorities, as well as representatives from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). As is tradition, the event included a Mass to mark the start of the season, a symbol of unity for the avocado industry. The presence of officials from all three levels of government reaffirmed the strategic importance of Mexican avocados in international trade.

The new Council will be chaired by Raúl Ernesto Martínez Pulido, an associate producer, who will be joined by representatives from both sectors—producers and packers—in a balanced governance model. The Board of Honor and Justice is composed of Fernando Torres Reglado and David Ruiz Vega, representing producers and packers, respectively. During his speech, Martínez emphasized the commitment to transparent, strategic, and representative management.

The renewal of the Board marks a new cycle for APEAM, a key organization in the Mexican avocado value chain. With over 20 years of institutional work, the association continues to solidify its position as a leader and coordinator between the private sector and government authorities, projecting a long-term vision based on sustainability and global competitiveness.
