PERU ANALYSIS
Peruvian avocado exports rise 10% in week 15
Peru registered 952 shipments in week 15, with Europe as the main destination and a 53% share of the European market.
Peruvian avocado exports maintained a steady pace in week 15, with a total of 952 shipments dispatched, a 10% increase compared to week 14. Although the volume is still 3% below that recorded in the same week last year, the campaign's performance continues to show a trend similar to that of 2025.

Europe once again solidified its position as the primary destination for Peruvian fruit, accounting for nearly two-thirds of the week's export volume. Asia ranked second with 20% of shipments, followed by Chile with 11%, while other markets collectively made up the remaining 2%. This distribution confirms that the European market continues to be the main driver of Peruvian exports at this stage of the season.
This dominance is also reflected on the demand side. In week 16, Peru already accounted for more than half of Europe's avocado supply, reaching a 53% share of the continental market. This figure reaffirms the importance of Peruvian avocados in European supply and their ability to dictate the pace of supply in the current stage of the season.
With this performance, Peru is once again approaching the 1,000 weekly shipment mark, a threshold it reached in week 16 last year. For now, the trend remains quite similar to that observed in the previous season, in a context where Europe continues to absorb most of the exported volume and maintain the leading role of Peruvian products in the international market.
