Mexico breaks record: 1.25 million tons exported to the US in 2025-2026

Mexico

Last week 18,751 tons were harvested and 15,514 were exported, with a utilization rate of 82%.

We closed the 2025-2026 season with 25% more exports than the previous year, reaching 1,251,558 tons. This is a record volume for Mexico in shipments to the United States.

Most importantly, consumption in the North American market continues to grow. Avocados are becoming an increasingly valued product.

Looking ahead, growth will be marginal. Only in the face of extreme weather events could we see significant drops in Mexico's supply.

We expect a similar harvest this week, around 18,000 tons.

The supply of hectares available for harvest rises to 27,068, 9% more than last week.

Today we have fruit from both harvests in similar proportions, but the volume of black fruit will decrease week by week.

Conditions appear reasonable regarding Mexico's production volumes. As other sources reduce their supply, Mexico will fill those gaps.

In the new harvest, the size curve is concentrated in medium-sized fruit: 60s, 48s and 70s.

Have a great week everyone.
