The harvest is starting up again, will prices rebound?

Mexico

Last week, 36,712 tons were harvested, of which 28,744 were exported, representing a 73% utilization rate. This week began with the industry closed due to safety concerns and USDA instructions, but fortunately, operations resumed at 100% today, so a harvest volume of around 25,000 tons is estimated.

The supply of hectares for this week is 39,569, a 3% increase over last week. The market continues to consume all exported volume, and Mexico continues to break shipping records. California is about to begin its harvest and will surely take its share of the market.

Alternative markets remain dominated by Canada. Historically, prices rebound in March, and we expect this reaction to continue, allowing the industry in Mexico to achieve a better return.

I wish you all a wonderful week.
