Avocado supply in Mexico decreases and market share in the US falls to 55%.

We finished week 22 with a harvest of 18,852 tons, of which 14,693 were exported to the United States, leaving an inventory of around 2,000 for this market and 2,000 for other markets, the most important being Canada. It should be noted that the new season harvest has already begun for other markets, including the national market.

This week the harvest started very slowly and it is expected that close to 18,000 tons will be harvested again.

Supply conditions in Mexico have been decreasing; this week there is a 10.4% decrease compared to last week, with a total of 20,013 hectares available for harvest, some already with partial harvests and others starting to cut.

Mexico's share of the US market continues to decline, and we estimate that we will be close to 55% this week.

Mexico is nearing the end of its harvest, at about 96%, and what remains until June will surely be supplemented by the new harvest, which is estimated to begin in a couple of weeks depending on the dry matter requirements.

Mexico will continue to be complementary in the market and will depend heavily on market needs as well as the supply from other countries to continue the trend of price increases for producers.

I wish you an excellent week.
