Hass prices in China are approaching US$6 again
Week 18 ended with 39 shipments, all from Peru, while the 4-kilo box is once again approaching US$6 per kilo.
The Chinese market closed week 18 with 39 shipments arriving, all from Peru, reflecting a notable increase compared to the previous week. Although the rise is significant, the intermittent nature of arrivals continues to characterize market behavior, so the volumes are not yet considered fully representative.

This same phenomenon suggests that next week could see a considerably larger volume, maintaining the irregular flow of shipments that has characterized the season. Peru remains the sole source at this stage, reinforcing its leading role in supplying China.
Regarding prices, shipments for the period of the 18th to the 24th show a significant rebound. Last week, prices were at levels very similar to those observed in 2023, while compared to other years they were clearly higher. Now, the market is showing signs of recovery.
The price of a 4-kilo box is approaching US$6 per kilo again, exceeding the prices recorded this same week in previous seasons, when prices were considerably lower. However, it remains to be seen whether this increase will be sustained in the coming weeks or if prices will decline again.
