Chinese market

China imports more than in 2025, but prices plummet 70%.

Imports are exceeding last year's levels, while prices have been falling for four consecutive weeks.

The Chinese avocado market continues to show strong downward pressure on prices. During week 22, 135 containers entered the country, a lower volume than the previous week, although significantly higher than the same period last year.

However, the main focus remains on prices. They have now fallen for the fourth consecutive week and are very close to the lows seen at the beginning of the season. The drop has been particularly steep compared to the peak reached in week 18, accumulating a reduction of nearly 70%.

The downward trend was also reflected in the weekly comparison. Between weeks 21 and 22, prices fell by 21%, confirming a scenario of trade weakness that continues to put pressure on the Chinese market despite the growth in imports compared to last year.
