China's prices fall 60% from their peak in week 18

Imported shipments rose to 168 in week 21, while prices completed three consecutive weeks of decline.

The Chinese avocado market continued to show a sharp drop in prices during week 21. On average, prices registered their third consecutive week of decline, following the peak reached in week 18.

Avocado imports from China

From that peak, prices have accumulated a decrease of nearly 60%, approaching levels similar to those observed in 2023 and falling well below those recorded during the same week of 2024 and 2025. With this behavior, week 21 is approaching the minimum values recorded so far in 2026.

Regarding imports, China reached 168 shipments in week 21, a figure that represents about 140 more shipments compared to week 20.
