Commentary on the Mexican market

Week 5 (calendar year) ended with a harvest of 32,153 tons, of which 26,551 tons were exported to the United States market. A volume likely remains in inventory and will be released this week. The rest... More than 3,000 tons will go to different export markets and the domestic market, with Canada being the main destination.

As of last week, the progress towards the harvest estimate for the 23-24 season is around 60%, so according to the projection of the total production in certified orchards for the USA, we still have around 470,000 tons to harvest in the season.

Week 6 begins with a holiday, so there was no harvest on Monday the 5th. This will result in lower volume this week, which may help maintain a healthy market after the volume shipped to supply Super Bowl promotions. Export volume to the US market this week is expected to be around 23,000 tons.

Demand remains stable across the entire size range, with size 48 being the most promoted, representing around 35% of the harvest curve.

The volume of hectares for this week in the harvest system for the USA program is 34,376 in Michoacán and 8,972 in Jalisco.

Have a great week.
