Projections of avocado consumption worldwide

Global avocado consumption continues to rise, and Baika is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth. In Chile, per capita consumption has reached very high levels, approaching 10 kilos per person per year. Even so, it is projected to continue growing in the coming years. Although prices affect the quantity purchased, demand for avocados remains strong, as it is a staple food in Chile.

In Latin America, countries like Argentina and Uruguay have seen exponential growth in avocado consumption, influenced by regional culture and lifestyle. Meanwhile, emerging markets such as Brazil and China represent significant opportunities for avocado expansion.

In the case of Brazil, consumption of the Hass variety is still low. We are one of the few suppliers already delivering Chilean fruit to that country, and we are running a significant marketing campaign because we know that when Brazil's market truly takes off, it will be a very important player. In terms of production, it could become like Peru.

Finally, in more mature markets such as the United States and Europe, Baika continues to work to maintain and increase its market share.

Simplifying the packaging process in Europe could be a key strategy for making avocados more accessible to consumers. With its focus on these strategic markets, Baika is poised for continued global growth in the coming years.
