Peru consolidates its leadership in Europe and gains ground in the US and China

During the closing of week 25, the avocado market showed relevant variations in its main destinations.

In the United States, 1,585 shipments were recorded, a slight weekly decrease of 2%, with Peru increasing its share by 21%, while Colombia's fell by 12%. Prices declined for larger sizes, especially 48 and 60, although size 70 rebounded by 7%.

In Europe, arrivals totaled 1,071 containers, 30% higher than last year. Peru leads with 80% of the market, while prices varied by country and size, with decreases in Rotterdam and increases in Spain.

China received 120 containers from Peru, the highest volume of the month and 90% above the same period in 2024. Prices exceeded year-on-year levels for the first time since week 14.

Finally, Peru exported 1,296 containers, 11% less than the previous week but still 10% above the 2024 average. Europe remains the main destination, followed by the US, Asia, and Chile. The charts below detail these movements and their implications by region and size.
