Arrivals from Peru and Colombia are increasing, while China is cutting its imports

In week 24, the global avocado trade showed mixed adjustments. The United States received 1,522 shipments at the close of week 23, 12% more than the previous week, with notable increases from Peru (+26%) and Colombia, which doubled its shipments. Prices for large and size 48 avocados remained stable, while prices for small sizes rose by up to 10%.

Europe recorded 967 shipments, 50% more than last year. Peru accounted for 83% of the volume. Prices in Rotterdam fell 5% for large sizes and rose 6% for small sizes; in Spain, size 18 fell 9%.

China reduced its imports to 75 containers, 30% less than the previous week. Prices remained stable, at levels similar to 2022 and 2024. Peru exported 1,557 shipments in week 23, with Europe as the main destination (55%), followed by the US (18%) and Asia (15%).
