Regarding the distribution of destinations, Europe accounts for 77% of the volume shipped, consolidating its position as the main market. Asia represents 11% of shipments, while Chile accounts for 9%, and other destinations make up approximately 3%.

In the European market, participation continues to advance week by week, reaching 44% of the total in week 15, reflecting the progressive increase in the presence of the origin.

In this regard, Alfredo Lira points out that between January and March 2026, more than 80,000 metric tons of avocados were shipped from the highlands, a figure close to the 88,000 tons recorded at the end of the previous year. This volume represents approximately 12.5% of the total national production estimated for the season.

It also warns that the campaign could present significant logistical challenges, including costs, frequencies, and container availability.
