Brazil: Monthly Market Dynamics
Brazil
LOCAL MARKET
July saw even lower prices than June, but similar volume. Brazil is expected to continue with low prices throughout August, but even lower prices are anticipated.

The current price of Hass avocados at the central supply center, CEAGESP
https://ceagesp.gov.br/cotacoes/ as of 5/8/2026, remains low and with no prospect of rising!

EXPORT MARKET
In July, there were shipments to Europe, but with lower volumes than in June. Shipments to Europe are expected to increase in August, as the price increase has made shipping more attractive. For Argentina and Uruguay, July saw significantly higher volumes than June, and the outlook for August is to maintain similar shipment volumes to these countries.

FIELD
In July, medium and late-season fruit of large sizes was harvested. For August, a supply of large fruit (sizes 14-18, based on the Europa standard) is expected.
PERSPECTIVES
By August, Brazil is increasing its volume to Europe by 6 to 7 containers per week. Prices in Argentina continue to rise, but we will need to find a market for larger fruit. Brazil should be sending 20 to 25 truckloads per week to Argentina in August. Brazil's season continues until September or October with exports.
