Monthly Hass Avocado Market Report in Brazil
Local market
The volume traded in November via CEAGESP remains in line with the last four months, with a price decrease compared to October, as shown by the central market statistics. It's incredible how Brazil continues to use local fruit and is now lowering prices. An atypical year due to wild flora !

The current price of Hass avocados at the CEAGESP wholesale market ( https://ceagesp.gov.br/cotacoes/ ) on December 8th is lower than in November (USD 2.20/kg to 2.85/kg). I don't think the price should rise further, since fruit with insufficient dry matter starts appearing on the market in January…

Very little was imported from Chile in November.

There is still enough domestic fruit to supply Brazil until the end of December.
Export market
Brazil continued sending 3 to 4 truckloads per week to Argentina, 1 per week to Uruguay, and there was also a shipment to Chile. For December, we expect to have even more shipments: 2 total to Chile and 3 truckloads per week to Argentina. For the other countries, the shipments are of Tropical avocados, not Hass.
Prices were USD 1.75/kg FOB to Argentina, USD 1.67/kg FOB to Uruguay, and USD 1.70/kg to Chile.

Regarding air shipments of Tropical avocados, we have the table below. It's possible that the shipments to the United Arab Emirates were Hass avocados.
Field
By 2026, we anticipate new investments in plantations of up to 1,000 hectares. Brazil currently has 10,000 hectares of Hass avocados planted… and they are expected to be 100% in production by 2029.
The 60,000-ton Hass avocado campaign for 2026 is further confirmed. Brazil is scheduled to begin the campaign in February!
