Avocado export volume from Peru remains above 1,300 containers for the second week

During week 30, Peru exported a total of 1,331 containers of avocados, remaining practically at the same level as the previous week, with a variation of less than 1%. This figure represents a 42% increase compared to the volume exported during the same week last year, consolidating a sustained performance in the current season.

Regarding destinations, Europe continues to lead with 55% of total Peruvian exports, followed by the United States with 19%, Chile with 15%, and Asia with 9%. The remaining markets represent approximately 3%. It is worth noting that in week 31, Peru again achieved a market share exceeding 80% in Europe, a trend that underscores its dominant position in the region.

This trend contrasts with what was observed last year, when by this time marked declines in the pace of exports were already being recorded. The stability in current volumes suggests that, unlike the previous season, the seasonal slowdown has not yet fully materialized, although it is anticipated that the downward trend could begin to accelerate in the coming weeks.
