Peru closes its 2025 Hass avocado campaign with a 37% growth and consolidates its leadership in the main international markets
The Peruvian Hass Avocado Producers and Exporters Association – ProHass – announces that the 2025 season is nearing completion with record-breaking results. To date, 98% of the projected volume, equivalent to 690,000 metric tons, has been exported. This figure was estimated by the Association at the start of the season. This performance represents a 37% increase compared to the 2024 season, solidifying Peru's position as one of the world's leading suppliers of Hass avocados.
Of the total 690,000 metric tons exported , 424,000 went to Europe, which has once again become our main market, accounting for 62% of shipments. This result represents a 36% increase compared to the previous year , confirming the strength of European demand for Peruvian Hass avocados.
In parallel, significant increases were recorded in strategic markets in Asia and North America: Japan with 73% growth , the United States with 54%, and China with 25% . These advances not only reflect the growing international acceptance of our fruit, but also demonstrate the importance of diversifying export destinations, a key factor for the sustainability and competitiveness of the Peruvian Hass avocado industry.
These results reflect the joint work of producers, exporters and all actors in the industry, and the role that ProHass plays in preparing, consolidating and disseminating weekly reports aimed at both its members and the industry in general.

The announcement takes on special relevance in the lead-up to the VII Latin American Avocado Congress, which will be held in Lima from November 17 to 19, and which will bring together leaders, experts and companies from around the world to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the industry.
Finally, ProHass reports that the official closing report for the 2025 campaign will be published at the end of October, marking the start of projections for the 2026 campaign.
