Peru closed 2023 with 558,430 tons of avocado exports.

Peruvian avocado exports grew by only 1% in 2023 compared to the 2022 season (558,435 vs. 54,299 tons).

The following is the list of avocado exporters for the 2023 season:

The composition of the markets, during the last 3 years, was as follows:

  • We continue to see that Europe is the main market, accounting for 60% of the exported volume, growing by 9% in 2023.
  • For the USA, there is a decrease of 9% compared to the year 2022.
  • There is moderate growth for the Chilean and Japanese markets.
  • China had the largest volume growth, with 79% compared to the previous year.
