The Chinese avocado market maintains a steady flow from Peru and shows a slight increase in prices.

The Chinese avocado market closed the week with approximately 50 containers arriving from Peru, a figure similar to the previous week. Although the current volume remains stable, projections indicate a significant increase for next week, with around 120 containers expected to arrive, based on shipments already sent from the South American country.

This behavior anticipates an intensification in the presence of Peruvian avocados in the Chinese market, which could influence price trends in the coming weeks.

Regarding price behavior, a moderate increase of 7% was recorded in the most traded sizes, specifically between sizes 18 and 24. Despite this adjustment, prices are still 10% below those reached during the same period in 2024. It is worth remembering that, during those weeks last year, the market experienced a notable rebound, so it will be key to observe whether a similar trend is repeated this year.
