The Chinese avocado market experienced a significant contraction in week 24, registering the entry of 75 containers, representing a 30% decrease compared to week 23 volumes. This import level is also slightly below that recorded in the same period last year, with a negative variation of 7%.
Regarding price behavior, the market showed stability during the week analyzed, with no significant variations in reference values. Current levels remain very close to those observed during 2022 and 2024, ranging between $2.50 and $2.80 per kilo. When compared specifically to the same week in 2024, the current price is 3% lower. It is worth noting that 2023 was an exception, with prices significantly lower than those of the other seasons mentioned.
