Strong growth in Peruvian exports, with Europe and Asia as the main destinations

Peru showed remarkable growth at the close of week 8, with a total of 181 containers shipped. This figure represents a 40% increase compared to the previous week, reflecting an upward trend in the country's production and trade.

Regarding the distribution of destinations, Europe remains the main market for Peruvian avocados, absorbing 64% of shipments. Asia, for its part, received 32% of the total, while Chile and the United States share the remaining percentage. The reduction in Chilean production has made Peru its main supplier, consolidating its role in the region.

Despite the weekly increase, export levels are still below those recorded last year. However, projections point to a rebound in the coming weeks, driven by greater fruit availability in the country. This trend is expected to continue in the coming months, which could lead to a significant increase in supply and potentially influence international prices.

The market will be watching closely the evolution of Peruvian exports and their impact on the global avocado dynamic, especially in a context where demand continues to change constantly.
