Peruvian avocado exports fall below 1,000 containers for the first time since April

At the close of week 31, Peru exported 948 containers of avocados, representing a 29% decrease compared to the previous week. Despite this decline, the volume remains 38% higher than that recorded during the same period in 2014.

Europe accounted for 62% of shipments, followed by the United States with 18%, Chile with 11%, and Asia with 7%, while the remaining regions had a marginal share. Peru's market share in Europe remains close to 80%, confirming its dominant position in that region.

Regarding destinations, all registered decreases compared to the previous week, with Europe showing the largest reduction in absolute terms, although in similar proportions to other destinations. A volume below 1,000 containers had not been recorded since week 17.
