Shipments from Chile to international markets
Chilean exports are growing, with Europe accounting for 50%
At the close of week 2, Chile added 159 containers, with weekly and year-on-year increases, and Europe accounted for half of the destinations, with no shipments to the US.
At the close of week 2, Chile recorded estimated avocado exports of 159 containers. This volume represented a 27% increase compared to the previous week and a 12% increase compared to the same week in 2025.
In terms of destinations, Europe accounted for 50% of shipments, followed by Latin America with 27% and Asia with 23%. No containers were shipped to the United States during this period, a situation that, based on recent trends, will likely continue as part of the business strategy.
The weekly presence of Chilean fruit in the main markets showed that in Europe it reached 14% in week 3, while in the United States it was below 1%. In China, meanwhile, the share corresponded to the total volume destined for that market.
Week-to-week volume trends have shown an intermittent dynamic, alternating between increases and decreases. Within this context, a volume increase was observed again, including a rise in shipments to Europe, a destination for which a possible reduction had previously been projected.
