Peruvian avocado exports remain below last year's levels despite weekly increase

At the close of week 9, Peru exported a total of 258 containers of avocados, representing a 43% increase compared to the previous week. However, the volume remains 21% below the levels recorded during the same week in 2024.

In terms of market distribution, Europe remains the main destination, receiving 57% of shipments. Asia accounts for 37%, while the United States and Chile each receive 2%. The remaining 1% goes to other countries in the Americas.

While the export curve shows a similar behavior to last year, volumes continue to lag compared to 2024. Although the gap has narrowed, Peruvian exports have not yet reached previous levels, which could reflect adjustments in production or variations in international demand.
